This is how we do it
It's
one thing to have a good idea of what is needed, what is right, or what
is wrong and then make a plan to improve on the situation - It's
another to have some valid basis for that idea. That's what assessment
does - it takes much of the guessing out of identification of issues.
There are many things for which CCHS assessments can be used. All of them attempt to identify targets for projects or programs:
- Community needs
- Organization needs
- Employee satisfaction
- Customer satisfaction
- Program evaluation
- Identification of strengths and barriers
- and more
CCHS has
been doing assessments since 1992. These assessments have looked at all
the issues above and have resulted in strategic plans, grants , and other program development and evaluation needs. With
his experience as an award winning journalist, Phil Schenk understands
how to ask the right questions of the right people, listen to the
answers, ask the right follow-up questions, analyze the answers from
many participants and put the results into forms that can be used to
develop programs.
Here's what we say to those who identify needs by
intuition, incomplete information, or "seat of the pants" approaches:
"Stop Guessing and Start Assessing"
| Planning and Strategizing |
Once an assessment has shown what the issues are to be addressed, it's
time for planning and strategizing to deal with them. CCHS advocates
group process in developing strategies and we excel at facilitating
such processes. We also excel at coming up with creative programs to
meet identified needs, but we believe that the people who will be doing
the program should be the ones to develop the plans and we are great at
helping make that process happen. Our expertise and experience in
special programs such as pharmacy and behavioral health integration,
operational aspects of CHC work such as customer service and
communications, community work and more give us the background to help
CHCs plan the right programs from the start. In addition, CCHS can draw
on successful experience in grant writing to help make plans into
realities.
After taking a careful,
objective look at a situation, the process of developing plans to deal
with issues should start out of the box and then see how to make the
box fit, if possible. This process should be creative and visionary.
That's why you want CCHS leading your planning and strategizing process.
It
is important to note that
CCHS has experience and expertise in various special aspects of
community health center programming, services and operations. For
example, we can provide experienced consultants in 340B pharmacy
development and operation, behavioral health/primary care integration,
customer/patient service, management coaching, marketing, community
relations, press relations, state programs utilizing CHCs,
communications, and more. When we work with a client to take a project
to the implementation phase, we have the experience to make it work.
CCHS
knows the importance of evaluation in program and grant management. We
can provide objective assessment and analysis based evaluation services
for existing projects or projects in which we have already been
involved. Again, the experience and expertise on which CCHS draws makes
our services stand out.
